It was recently learnt that Elvis Grey, an upcoming artiste was allegedly attacked by cult guys.
Evidently, he went to perform somewhere and sang his song ‘Damilola’ with a particular lady on stage.
After the performance, it was alleged that some cult guys took him
away and gave him the beating of his life because the lady was dating
one of them. Some say it’s staged but why will someone go through all
this for the sake of publicity or some other dumb reasons?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVjclZvuxvo&feature=player_embedded

So, I don’t know where that purported interview came from or when such was granted.”

Multi-billion naira mansion owned by Minister of Niger Delta affairs, Orubebe under probe
An investigation was ordered on Thursday by the House of
Representative over the multi-billion naira mansion said to belong to
Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Mr. Godsday Orubebe.
The house located at Mabushi in FCT, was said to have been constructed by SETRACO, a construction firm.
The House endorsed a motion by Mr. Odeneye Kehinde on the matter and resolved to probe the ownership of the property.
Anti-Corruption and Drug/Narcotics/Financial Crimes and Justice are the committees which have been directed to conduct investigation within 21 days and produce a report.
Kehinde noted that the Multi-billion naira mansion has been one of the issues dominating discussions lately in the country.
He expressed surprise that neither the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission nor the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission had considered the issue important for investigation.
A summary of the allegation runs thus:
“The minister is presently resident in a house at Mabushi District Abuja built and handed over to him by SETRACO, a construction company that doubles at his crony.”
He added,’The minister’s failure to declare the said house in his asset declaration form with Code of Conduct Bureau, is a case of perjury if established.
“The minister’s financial escapades and liaisons are in Dubai and other corruption shelters overseas.
“These weighty allegations were at first peremptorily rubbished and dismissed by the minister as handiwork of his detractors and some mischief-makers who were out for extortion.
“Since then, he has unfortunately laboured hard using the media to fault these revelations.”

Two Policemen Suspended For Arresting Women Over Facebook Comment

Shaheen Dhada, left and Renu Srinivasan, leave court in Mumbai, India.
Under flak from various quarters, the Maharashtra government in India on Tuesday suspended the police officers, who ordered the arrest of two women at Palghar in Thane district over the innocuous Facebook posting after India’s financial capital was shut down for the weekend for the funeral of the powerful politician.
Simultaneously, the Bombay High Court transferred Judicial Magistrate First Class at Palghar R.G. Bagade, who sent the two women to judicial custody and later granted them bail.
Maharashtra Home Minister R.R. Patil while speaking to newsmen announced that the state government had suspended Superintendent of Police (Thane rural) Ravindra Sengaonkar and senior police inspector Shrikant Pingle of the Palghar police station. “We have initiated the action against the two police officers after obtaining legal opinion on the issue,” Patil said.
“There was no need to charge the two young women under wrong sections… There was no need to take hasty action against the women,” he added.
A day after Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray was cremated, the Palghar police had arrested Shaheen Dhada and Renu Srinivasan, both aged 21 years, over their Facebook comment. While Dhada posted the original message, Srinivasan “liked” the posting.
Dhada and Srinivasan, who were arrested and released on bail on November 19, were booked under section 505 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 66 A of Information Technology Act (offensive messages through a communication device).
While the section 505 (2) of the IPC deals with statements creating or promoting enmity, hatred or ill-will between classes, the section 66A of the IT Act is a relevant section which penalizes ‘sending false and offensive messages through communication services’. Both these legal provisions prescribe a maximum punishment of three years each and fine.
Following the arrest of Dhada and Srinivasan, there was a public uproar across the country, with the prominent citizens, including the Press Council of India chairman Justice Markandey Katju, coming down heavily on the local police for misuse of office and wrong invocation of law. Most of them said that the police officers had acted in haste and without application of mind against the two women, under pressure from the local Shiv Sena leaders.
Apart from putting pressure on the police officials to arrest the two women, the Sena activists also vandalised a private hospital owned by the Dhada’s uncle on the evening of November 18, following her Facebook comment.
The suspension of the two police officers follows an inquiry conducted by the Inspector General (Konkan Range) Sukhvindar Singh into the circumstances leading to the arrest of two women. In his report, Singh had indicted the erring police officers for wrong application of law and recommended action against them.
What upset the Bombay High Court was the fact that the local magistrate had taken cognizance of the cases booked against two women by the police on flimsy grounds, sent them judicial custody first and later granted them bail.
The same magistrate had also post haste given bail to 10 Sena vandals who ransacked the private hospital — a judicial ruling that was not appreciated by people in various parts of the country.
In the transfer order issued on Monday, the Registrar of the High Court stated: “Judicial Magistrate First Class at Palghar R.G. Bagade is hereby transferred in the same position to Jalgaon with immediate effect.”
Clattenburg Saga: Mikel Obi May Get Five Match Ban
The improper charge conduct by the Football Association against Super
Eagles and Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel could see the Nigerian
suffer as much as a five match ban reports say.
Already Mikel has requested a personal hearing having been charged with misconduct for allegedly using threatening or abusive words and/or behavior “in or around the match officials’ changing room” following the defeat to Manchester United.

If the charge is upheld he will face a ban of a minimum of three matches and if the mitigating circumstances are rejected, that could stretch to five an FA official hinted.
The Football Association last week dismissed the Chelsea’s complaint that referee Mark Clattenburg had racially abused Mikel John Obi during the defeat by Manchester United on 28 October.
Chelsea, while backing their midfielder Ramires over claims he heard Clattenburg refer to Mikel as “a monkey” during the 3 2 loss, accepted the governing body’s decision that there was no case for the referee to answer and had been discussing making a gesture of reconciliation towards the official, who always denied wrongdoing.

Rihanna Tweets Top-less Picture Of Chris Brown In Bed (Photo)
A photo of a shirtless Chris Brown, taken by Rihanna, could
be another piece of evidence that the two are getting back together
after their disastrous first attempt.

Brown and Rihanna have been unapologetic about showing followers on
their Twitter accounts how much they appear to be enjoying their
Thanksgiving getaway to Berlin.
Despite some followers expressing their opposition to the pair reuniting, both tweeted about meeting up to spend time together. Their first relationship imploded on itself in 2009 when Chris Brown beat Rihanna up before an awards show.
The two have remained in touch and have often caused rumors to swirl that they are back together. Despite the rumors, both Brown and Rihanna have denied any such relationship exists.
The shirtless Chris Brown photo tweeted by Rihanna does little to back up their arguments. Hours before the Barbadian beauty tweeted the shirtless Brown photo, the R&B singer posted a photo of himself wearing the Simpsons attire that was later seen strewn on the bed, notes E! Online.
Along with the photo of her shirtless ex-boyfriend, Rihanna wrote, “Dis n-gga……. #BartObsessed.” Along with attending his concert in the German capital, Rihanna also joined Brown at the after-show party, held at a nightclub. After attending the nightclub after-party, the pair were seen leaving in the same car.

laying on an unmade bed, reports The Daily Mail. While his face is not
visible, the singer’s iconic tattoos are.

Plumber’s son graduates with first class in FUTA: It was hardwork and prayer
Twenty-six-year-old Mr. Nurudeen Adegoke, who is the son of a plumber
father and trader mother in Iseyin, Oyo State, must have listened to
that song over and over again till it became his guiding principle as he
emerged the overall best graduating student at the 24th convocation
ceremony of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, on Saturday.
Adegoke, who read Mathematics, glittered like gold at the occasion as he won other accolades and had to shake hands on different occasions with special guests and other principal officers of the university as he received his prizes.

Adegoke who revealed that the road to his success was rough and challenging, however said he had to put in personal efforts to get himself through his degree programme at FUTA.
He said, “I really worked very hard. No unserious student can survive the rigour at the Mathematical Science department from where I graduated. I was very prayerful too.
“Right from my first day in FUTA, I was determined, focused and diligent. I was humble too because humility is very essential in anything one is doing.
“I was at the Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke, for my Ordinary National Diploma in Statistics. I got direct admission to FUTA, doing everything on my own.
“My dad is a plumber while my mother is a petty trader. I am really from a humble background. Being the first child of my family, I made up my mind to be serious and hardworking so that I could help my parents in taking care of the academic needs of my younger ones.
“I always had it at the back of my mind that I must pass very well if I really wanted my certificate to be useful to me and I was always prayerful and focused.
“I used to get involved in tutorials. I didn’t play with my academics. I am not sure I had any social life because I didn’t want any form of distraction,” Adegoke submitted.
He advised students to face their academics instead of engaging in activities that would not add value to their main reason of being in the university in the first instance.

Breaking News:Jonathan sacks Bolanle Onagoruwa, DG of Bureau of Public Enterprises(BPE)
Ms. Bolanle Ayodele Onagoruwa, the Director General of the Bureau of
Public Enterprises (BPE), has been relieved of her appointment by
President Goodluck Jonathan.
Her sack might not be unconnected with the way the BPE handled the contract for the Transmission Company of Nigeria which was awarded to a Canadian firm, Manitoba Hydro International, but was later cancelled because of a series of infractions on the part of the Bureau – a move that allegedly caused the presidency untold embarrassment.
Ms. Onagoruwa who was appointed by President Jonathan in August 2010, is to hand over to the most senior management staff, Mr. Benjamin Ezra Dike, who will serve in acting capacity.

FRSC regrets tweet on BRT Bus that fell into Lagos Lagoon
The FRSC admits it gave false information as regards a BRT accident in Lagos.
The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, has regretted a tweet from its handle, Monday noon, saying a fully loaded public transport bus, BRT, fell off the 3rd Mainland Bridge, Lagos.
The Commission’s spokesman, Jonas Agwu, said the tweet which was sent out from a Blackberry phone at 12:33pm Monday should be “disregarded.”
The tweet has also been deleted from the commission’s handle. The commission went ahead to say the hoax it had “retweet” could not be confirmed.
Mr. Agwu could not immediately say why its officers sent out the tweet, he, however, said it was a “hoax.”
“We have spoken to the Lagos Command and there is nothing like that,” he said.
The Lagos state sector commander of FRSC, Nse Akpabio, denied that the information that lead to the tweet from Abuja emanated from them.
“Who called them (FRSC Abuja, managers of the twitter handle)?” he asked.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, however, said a BRT bus crashed at about the time FRSC sent out the spurious tweet, at another location.
“A BRT bus was involved in an accident at Ebute-Ero, near Idumota, Lagos Island, with casualties, no mortality,” Oluwafemi Oke, LASEMA boss said.
FRSC applys the social media extensively. It has operated its twitter account since September 2009 and has over 13,000 followers it feeds with road accident updates and driving tips.
It also maintains a Facebook Page with over 16,000 ‘likes’ and is one of the government agencies that are open with information.

Tribune sacks 160 workers
There has been a mass sack of workers at the African Newspapers of
Nigeria (ANN) PLC, publishers of the Tribune titles, based in Ibadan,
capital of Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria. At least 160 workers in all
the departments were affected in the mass purge which took place last
week.
The retrenchment exercise which took place barely a month after the appointment of Mr. Edward Dickson as the new Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of the company, was a shock to many of the affected workers. According to sources, the management felt that it was necessary to prune down the over bloated staff strength estimated at 700, adding that a staff survey they conducted revealed that other media houses have not more than 300 workers.
A source said, “they went to other newspapers and found out that their staff strength are far less than our own. They claimed that they went to a Lagos-based newspaper and found out that they employed not more than 300 staff and they do not see the reason why they should have 700 staff.”
Other reasons adduced for the retrenchment include drop in the company’s working capital and its inability to give dividends to shareholders.
Our source revealed that the new MD in a meeting with the staff pointed out that it was necessary to down size in order not to disappoint the founding father of ANN, the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, adding that he was not ready to preside over an establishment that would go into extinction during his tenure.
It was gathered that he pleaded with the affected staff that they should not see the retrenchment as a vindictive exercise but rather a necessary one to ensure that the company does not die. Some of the affected staff were immediately given half of their entitlements and asked to pick a cheque for the balance of their entitlements in a month’s time

Photos: Men in canada wear heels to protest violence against women
At least 1,000 men took part in this year’s “Walk A Mile In Her Shoes” march in Toronto Canada, bringing awareness to ending violence against women and girls.
Based on the idea that, “You can’t really understand another person’s experience until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes,” organizers of Canada’s White Ribbon Campaign, a now-global organization helping end violence against women, have arranged the event for four years.
“Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’ isn’t simply a stunt — it’s a statement about men’s role in ending violence against women; an issue that is connected to strict gender roles and expectations of men. By wearing heels and acting in solidarity with women, we want to show that we’ll do whatever it takes to make this a safer world for everyone,” reads a statement on the White Ribbon Campaign’s site.
If heels were made for walking, you might as well use them for a good cause.

Day police shot me –Adewale Ayuba

Adewale Ayuba is one of the few musicians who believe that lyrics should not only inform but also educate and entertain. Popularly known as Mr. Johnson, Ayuba who has transversed the length and breath of the continent and beyond with his Bonsue brand of fuji music was caught up at the swimming pool side of the Lagos Country Club in Ikeja, Lagos where he was billed to perform recently. Here is the outcome of the meeting where he shared his painful moments with The Entertainer. Excerpts:
Who is Mr. Johnson?
Mr. Johnson is a Nigerian fuji artiste. His real name is Adewale Ayuba. He was born 48 years ago at Ikenne Remo in Ogun State where he also grew up. He is married and professionally committed to fuji genre of music.
How did you coin the word, Bonsue?
Bonsue is a word that came from my late mother. May her soul rest in peace. She used the word to abuse me when I was very young. I was always singing whenever she sent me on an errand. She didn’t seem to like it. She would retort: ‘rather than read your book, you would be singing about; bobo bobo bonsue, don’t go and become bonsue, read your book!’ When I grew up and began to think of a name to use for my band, I remember my mother’s word, Bonsue. It jelled and I began to use it.
How did your journey to stardom begin?
I left Ikenne Remo in 1982. The album that brought me into limelight was Bubble. It contained the line: Another Mr. Johnson is a counterfeit. I was living in Lagos then. It was released in 1991.
What are some of the fondest memories you’ve had?
The memory I had was that becoming a musician was not an easy decision. It was a decision between me and my parents. I happen to be the last born of my parents and they never wanted my going into music. I had to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with them to sing and at the same time pursue education. The pact says in part: ‘you must go to school Monday to Friday, and Saturday can be used for your musical rehearsals’. This spurred me into going to school. They went further to add: ‘if you must be a musician, you would neither smoke nor drink. And you must marry one wife’.
What kind of upbringing did you have?
I had a wonderful family background. My parents were closely knitted. And the siblings made beautiful home and are all well read.
As the last child, were you spoilt?
I had a breathing space because I chose to play music. Probably, if I had chosen education, my parents would have spoilt me. And because I chose what they didn’t believe in, they didn’t close mark me. But they put a lot of checks on me; they didn’t allow me to mingle and have friends. Each time I had to perform, after the performance, I went home for fear of being lured to cigarette smoking, which my parents had warned me against.
What age did you become a professional musician?
I started when I was seven years old. At that age, I was already attending social gathering, singing without drums. When I turned 10, someone by name, Sunday Olojuanu, a welder, who saw me perform in a party came to my parents and spoke to them about the budding talents in me, and the need to allow me make a career in music. He also promised to acquire musical equipment for me, to which my parents agreed. He bought all the equipment I needed and christened the band, Sunny Ayuba, which is a combination of his name and my own name.
How did Bubble help to blossom your career?
Before Bubble, I had six other albums. Bubble was a project. I had other albums that didn’t live up to my expectations. None of them got airplay in the universities and the elite group, and I don’t like doing music that the elite cannot relate with. Bubble met that expectation with fast beats the youths can align with. I’ve always looked forward to cross over music rendered purely in Yoruba and Islamic languages because of the background of fuji. Bubble was released 50 per cent English and Yoruba so that both Yoruba and non-Yoruba listeners can relate with it. And when it came out, it turned a hit.
Who do you owe your discovery in music?
I owe it to God. I have never played in any group. Though, my father had a beautiful voice he never waxed any album. He was called Afodu, which means someone that has a sweet voice. I think I took it from him.
How many wives do you have?
I’m married to only one wife. It is verifiable.
What else have you done apart from music?
I have never done any other thing apart from music. Music happens to be my first love and I went for it without blinking an eye. And that was why when my parents brokered the deal that I should go to school if I must play music, I didn’t hesitate because I didn’t want anything to stand in the way of my interest in music.
How did you fulfill your parents’ side of the deal, you went back to school?
It is not that I went back to school. Before I left my parents, I had Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Ogun State Polytechnic. When I became a star, I later went to Queen Borough Community College of Banking and Finance, New York, United States where I had an Associate Degree. When I came back, I did Industrial Law at the University of Lagos.
How true is it that you play more shows now than making albums?
I’m still a recording musician. My latest album entitled, Sugar has just been released into the market. It contains eight tracks that include Ori, Olenu Pa, Sisi Eko and a track dedicated to Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
How many albums have you so far recorded?
I’ve released 15 albums in Nigeria and four abroad.
What is the business side of Adewale Ayuba?
I manage my band. I’m also the CEO of Bonsue Fuji Band (BFB) Nigeria Ltd. I have a property that is rented out to tenants and a hospitality outfit.
What is your staying power in music?
I give God the glory. 90 percent of Nigerians, who may not have come across me personally, cannot say they have not heard about Adewale Ayuba. What I pray for is for government to believe in our music. The genre of music I play is only heard in Nigeria. This is what can be used to open doors in Europe because it is original in nature. In America, they have their own brand of music they love listening to. In Nigeria, we have our juju, highlife and fuji music.
What is your relationship with other fuji musicians?
It is fine and cordial; I’m also a member of Fuji Musicians Association of Nigeria (FUMAN). I give kudos to late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister who mentored me in the industry. I credited him in one of my records.
What have been your most embarrassing moments?
I see every embarrassment as a step to grow. But the experience that pained me most was when the police mistakenly shot me in Abeokuta. Though, they later apologized.
How did you know you were going to make it in music?
I cannot explain it. It is only God that understands it. The fact remains that I just love music and something was always telling me that music was my calling. My parents and other siblings could also read that I was headed for music right from the time I was a little boy.
How has women helped your career in music?
I appreciate women a lot. When one has seven women following a musician, it shows that one has additional 22 men because of those women.
How has your music coped with the coming of urban music called hip-hop, which is rendered in local dialects?
What many people don’t know is that lyrics do not only sell music, it is also sold by beats and drums. What the youths are doing is hip-hop no. And it cannot open international market for them. Though, the artistes are getting popular with it, what is the future of such artistes? Today, we still talk about Fela Anikulapo Kuti, King Sunny Ade, IK Dairo, a Member of the British Empire (MBE), and Victor Uwaifo. These are musicians whose works are still making waves locally and internationally. I got KORA award because I play fuji music but as a hip-hop artiste from Nigeria, I couldn’t have been so recognized. Hip-hop. R&B, and jazz are from America while reggae is from Jamaica. Indians and Chinese have their own genres of music. So, our young ones are playing music that cannot take the country anywhere.
When you write songs, what kind of issues you put in context?
I believe lyrics are very important in music, because people see musicians and artistes as role models. And whatever comes out of an album is very important to them. When I’m writing songs, I think of how to educate the upcoming artistes. I would not want to play music solely for parents while the children would be ignored. I see my lyrics as that of a poet who has come to address his people and I think it is natural.
How did you arrive at the dance steps that characterized Bubble?
This is why I described Bubble as a project. When I released it, a time came for the video to be shot, I thought since Bonsue is my style; it is time for people to know how to dance the music. I got myself a big mirror. As the music played I began to carve out the dance steps. It is not that I learnt it from any choreographer; it is a divine creation which people later fell in love with and became part of it.
How would you rate the music industry?
I’ll rate the industry high. We have a lot of talents in Nigeria, except that government is not encouraging the artistes. During national events like independence, our talents and artistes ought to be showcased. When I went to Cotonou for a press interview, I gave them my music and they played it during the interview. After the interview, they went back to their own local music. It is only in Nigeria that Western music is celebrated. Any thing from Nigeria is regarded as local. Government is the only one that can regulate the industry. If government says it needs 90 per cent local contents on our radio stations, the order will be obeyed and violators will be punished.
What message do you have for the upcoming artistes?
I would advise the upcoming artistes to be themselves as well as believe in their culture. It is not right to do a music that would reign and die in Nigeria but something that would go farther than Nigeria‘s shores. Fela Anikulapo Kuti is dead but his music is still being appreciated. Sir. Abimbola Olaiya just marked his 50th years on stage and people still crave for his music. Music is a profession and must be done very well. Stardom should not be allowed to get into their heads. They should be humble so that they don’t fumble and stumble.
Naija Gangnam styl storms the scene
The Gangnam style dance move from South Korean rapper Park Jae-sang
is now full time in Nigeria, but not only as a result of the vibrations
this hit song sent across the globe; rather, it’s because a Nigerian
artist has done a replica of the song.
Enter Mo’ Eazy
Mo’Eazy is not a green horn in the Nigerian entertainment business. His first single “Kosoro” threw a good number radio listeners in dance fits every time it was aired and you could tell right from the first second, this was talent singing in your ears and that someday, he would be a big name in the industry.

Mo’ Eazy, however, doesn’t plan to sit it out, he intends to fast forward to that time.
His version of the Gangnam style has it’s fangs deep in the original Korean pop beats only that this time, it’s sang in English with yoruba language sprinkled in at the bridge. Mo’ Eazy has a video out to further push this song but it’s difficult to judge if he can actually rock the ”Gangnam style” because like Weird MC’s “Ijo ya”, this entire video is cartoon illustrated.
‘Eazy pushed hard on his strengths as a rap artist as he unleashed a lyrical flow that should leave anyone stunned, but then like all artistes who have done versions from reigning hit songs, (Banky W a very good example) Mo’ eazy would be questioned on motive and originality. He would also be accused of trying a quick cut to fame land and a weak attempt to striking gold.
But then, controversies in the music business works altogether for good.
The Gangnam style is a K-pop single by South Korean artist PSY. The song was released as the lead single of his sixth studio album PSY 6 (Six Rules), Part 1. “Gangnam Style” debuted at number one on the Gaon Chart, the national record chart of South Korea. As of November 25, 2012, the music video has been viewed over 820 million times on YouTube, and is the site’s most watched video after surpassing Justin Bieber’s single “Baby”

Cristiano Ronaldo Reportedly Donates Golden Boot Worth $1.5m To Gaza Children

Real Madrid’s soccer star, Cristiano Ronaldo has donated the Golden Boot he won in 2011, reportedly worth $1.5 million, in aid of the children of Gaza.
According to the Arabic version of the club’s Classico network, the star forward has given the Golden Boot to the Real Madrid Foundation, which has, in turn, sold the award at auction, and is donating the funds to schools in blockaded Gaza.
The Real Madrid Foundation has been credited with helping to build 167 schools in 66 countries. In the same vein, this is not the first time the Real Madrid playmaker will be making such magnanimous donations as he sold most of his sports shoes last year, at a Real Madrid Foundation auction aimed at raising funds for schools in Gaza.
Ronaldo who is one of the highest-paid players in world football, holds the envious record of the world’s most expensive footballer in history after moving from Manchester United to Real Madrid in 2009 for a whopping €93.9m or £80m.
i Can Still Win Over Chelsea Fans – Benitez
Chelsea’s new manager Rafael Benitez was defiant last night that he
could win the supporters over after being subjected to an
extraordinarily hostile reception in his first game in charge yesterday.

The former Liverpool manager was loudly booed before the game, while many Chelsea fans sang songs such as “F*** off Benitez, you’re not welcome here”. Roberto Di Matteo’s name was sung throughout.
Benitez insisted that he was “not listening” to the fans. “My experience in England is that when the fans are singing in the stands, I don’t understand what they say,” he said. “So I was just concentrating. I can understand because of the rivalry in the past. But I’m sure the majority of the fans will understand: I’m a professional, I do my job, I want to win, and I want to win for the club. I hope they share those ideas.
“I was just concentrating on the game and not listening to anything else. Just the performance of the players on the pitch.”
The home supporters also brought banners to the 0-0 draw with Manchester City, with slogans such as “In Rafa we will never trust”. Benitez questioned how representative those signs were.
“How many people do you need to write a banner?” he asked. “Just one. Then two holding it.
“If we start winning games, they will come on board and they will see I’ll try to do my best. The manager wants to win every game and the fans the same. So we will win together.
“The main thing is that the players are focused on the games. If they are, it’ll be fine. I have confidence we will do well and win games. Some of the fans will realise it’s not the way to support their team. They’ll know they have a professional manager in charge, someone who wants to win games.”
Benitez’s first game was fairly quiet, with Chelsea mustering just one shot on target. The Spaniard spoke to Roman Abramovich afterwards and said the Chelsea owner was relaxed about the result and performance.
“[Abramovich] knows it was a tough game, a difficult time after the last games,” Benitez said. “He knows my opinion. He’s like me: he knows we have to win, want to win, and we keep working for that.”

Miracle: Man Who Was Shot On The Head, Wakes After Being In Coma For A Month
Doctors told Benjamin Pessah’s family he might not live after he was
shot in the head. But after waking from an almost month-long coma,
Pessah said his first words and took his first steps just in time for
Thanksgiving.
Pessah, of Burlingame, Calif., was walking home from a Halloween party in San Francisco Oct. 28 with two friends and his girlfriend when a stranger came up and touched his girlfriend inappropriately. Pessah, 21, stepped in to protect her when the man pulled out a gun and shot him in the head.
“It was pretty bizarre and unnecessary,” Pessah’s older brother, Nick Pessah, told ABCNews.com. “He [the stranger] attempted to shoot the group of four of them. He missed everybody but the last bullet hit my brother in the head.”
When doctors first examined Pessah’s injuries, they told his family he wasn’t going to make it. At one point, doctors said he only had a 25 percent chance of living.
“They weren’t going to operate because he was too severely injured,” Nick Pessah said. “Then they said they would attempt it but normally they wouldn’t. They only did because he is young and has a chance at surviving. They weren’t sure if he was going to make it or not.”
Pessah was in a medically induced coma for almost a month. But just a few days before Thanksgiving, his breathing tube was taken out and he said his first words. In a faint whisper, he said, ‘Hi Mom.’ “My mom was the only one who saw him speak and it brought her to tears,” Nick Pessah said.
On Thanksgiving day, Pessah took his first steps with his parents and three brothers in his hospital room at the University of California San Francisco to cheer him on. “I was the first one to watch him walk,” Nick Pessah said. “I was speechless. I didn’t really know what to say, it was very unexpected.”
Although he doesn’t remember the shooting, which his brother believes is a good thing, Pessah does remember everything else including his computer passwords and address. “It’s a miracle. I couldn’t be more ecstatic about his recovery,” Nick Pessah said. “It couldn’t have happened at a better time. I have more than enough to be thankful for.”
Pessah is a part-time student and entrepreneur. He likes going to the gym and hopes he’ll be able to again when he fully recovers. One thing he has been able to do in his remarkable recovery is tell his family that he loves them, which they thought they might never hear again.
“Right now I couldn’t be more happy,” Nick Pessah said. “It’s been an emotional rollercoaster. I’ve been crying, I’ve been happy. He’s beaten all of his odds so I couldn’t have asked for a better Thanksgiving.

The Muslims were taking part in processions in Mumbai and Chennai. Ashura is celebrated on the tenth day of the Islamic month of Muharram.
The processions also involve walking on burning coals and carrying a ‘Tazia’ – replica of the coffin of Hussein.
Some participants gather for ceremonial chest beating as a display of their devotion in remembrance of his suffering and to preach that oppression will not last.
In some Shi’a regions of Muslim countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Lebanon, and Bahrain, the commemoration has become a national holiday.
Most ethnic and religious communities participate even in a predominantly Hindu majority.
