PLANE CRASH IN LAGOS AT AIRPORT ROAD HEADING TO AKURE - 20 DIED

A 30-seater passenger plane has crashed shortly after take-off from Lagos airport in Nigeria, officials and eyewitnesses say.
The plane was bound for Akure in the south-west of the country, a spokesman for the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency told AFP.

The engine failed and it crash-landed and burst into flames, Supo Atobatele was quoted as saying.
