It was indeed a sad period for the Nigerian entertainment industry after the demise of top gospel act, Kefee was announced.

Kefee Obareki died of lung failure in a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday, June 12, 2014.

She was married to popular OAP, Esosa Don Momoh at the time of her death. Kefee died at the age of 34.
