Storm ‘Destroys’ Omotola Jalade’s Event Centre 3 Months After Launch

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde’s event centre launched on Valentine’s Day this year has reportedly been destroyed by a rainstorm.

According to NET, sources confirmed that Lagos Event place crumbled after a torrential downpour some days ago. However, the NET adds that they had conflicting re
ports when they visited the location. While an eyewitness confirmed the initial story, a worker claimed they pulled the centre down because they intend to renovate it

“ON OUR VISIT TO THE EVENT CENTRE, ANOTHER EYE WITNESS TOLD OUR CORRESPONDENT, ‘EGBON AFEFE OJO (RAIN) LO WOO‘ (A HEAVY BREEZE CRASHED DOWN THE MARQUEE).

A WORKER AT THE EVENT CENTRE HOWEVER TOLD US,‘WE BROUGHT IT DOWN OURSELF BECAUSE THE VENUE IS SMALL, WE WANT TO EXPAND IT‘. ASKED WHEN THE RENOVATION WILL BE COMPLETED, HE SAID, ‘I DON’T KNOW SIR’.

WE ALSO NOTICED A LASAA (LAGOS STATE ADVERTISING AND SIGNAGE AGENCY) STICKER ON THE SIGNBOARD THAT READS, ‘REMOVE THIS SIGN’.”
